Gaming Headset
« on: March 11, 2010, 03:19:29 PM »
What is the best Gaming headset? Definitions- Comfort, being able to wear the set for 4 hours or more without your ears turning blue or your head in a vise. Quality of sound, clear, crisp sound coming in and your voice going out. Not like a Burger King drive up menu speaker-mic. Solid construction- It should last more than 6 weeks before it goes dead, breaks in two, or the wires fall out. Something of quality like a CH product. Price under $200.00 Thank you Ketinkrad

I don't remember what it cost me, but the turtle beach is the best i have found! the one i have has3 or 4 speakers in each ear and a mike, it works great for the game as i can hear, all around me with the surround sound on. it has multiple plugs for each speaker set and a plug for power from my computer port as well and built in amps with each speaker set having its own volume as well as a master volume control!
Flying since tour 71.

Might need to buy one of those TB ones. Got a Saitek GH30 for 20 bucks off newegg, as a quick replacement for my broken cheapo. Damn that thing is so uncomfortable after about 10-20 minutes. I'm constantly placing it all around my ear as I get very bad headaches, and my ears kill, if I take it off, and put it back on in the same spot. Good sound quality when the vibration (bass booster) is off, though. Mic isn't great.

I need to get the Turtle Beach Ear Force HPA2.

I've got Koss SB-45, bought them in December 2008 on Amazon for ~$30.  They've preformed excellent for a year and a half and that includes a couple quick trips across the room.  :D
