yeah, you need to download the whole game to access the ww1 stuff....but you do NOT need an internet connection to play the game by yourself. Once installed you can choose to play offline and the whole deal is free. Only when you are man enough to compete against the rest of us heathens do you need to pony up $14.95 to play online. At least I think thats the deal.....
