Squad Message of the Day
Hello Squaddies and New Squad Members
I have created two new additons for
your clipboards gentleman. The first
addition is the "Javelin Down" bomber
element map that shows the basic setup
for the core group in a B-17G
Box formation.
The 2nd map shows the "Javelin Down" diagram
expanded for a 36 plane, or in our case 12
formation group attack on the Industrial Center
for our Titanic Tuesday 81st KrEwSaDeRz Epic
Mission. I know there has been some interest in
learning some formation flying and I hope these
are a couple of tools that will serve you well
during your efforts to improve your formation
flying skills.
The main advantage of using this formation is for
better gun coverage while counterattacking
incoming fighters. A WWII study done by the
Army Airforce noted that 50% of bomber casualties
were a direct result of bomber pilots
inability to maintain formation. So study up to
stay alive during our next Epic mission and
any other missions we may undertake in the
future.

Please follow the instructions in the emails
I have sent you or simply follow the instructions
as posted in the "message of the day" (MOTD)
First: locate the
C:\Hitech Creations\Aces High\maps\
Second: place all of the attached files
Bomberelement.bmp
36planeformation512gamemap.bm
p
into the folder
C:\Hitech Creations\Aces High\maps\
Fourth: Open Aces High
You can perform the next step in
either offline mode or during online play
Fifth: Open your clipboard maps and select
the Radio Button that says "Add New Map"
Sixth: Enter a description I just
typed in "BomberElement" then select
the BomberElement.bmp file out of the
drop down menu
Seventh: Click Apply
Repeat steps 5 through 7 for the
36planeformation512gamemap.bm
p file
