Is this only in the LWAs? Or all WWII arenas?

I was in LWO the other day and I took an engine oil hit from a typhoon.  The controls locked up and the plane started to shake violently, roll to the left, and the wing snapped off.  :headscratch:

Yea, something is screwed..

I havent flown WW2 since WW1 came out,  but I just popped into LWB and upped a dora,  a 51b popped my right elevator... nothing else....  and I lost all control..  as though my stick was unplugged..  and fell to earth.

Happens in MW as well. I've had it happen to me when flying a Ki-61 and A6M5b... It always seems to happen if I take damage to one of my 20mm guns. Just wish I had film of when it happens.

here is a film..

http://pages.suddenlink.net/ja001son/AH2/somethingwrong.ahf

something is defiantly wrong..

this is the second time Ive flown in the MA, and the second time this has happened.. I.E. every time.

as you can see from the film im flying over an airfield, I take 1 hit from field ack..  it makes a small hole in the right wing.. at this point I lose ALL control and the plane is shaking violently.. I never regain control the plane rolls slowly to the left and starts to head down, no other hits are scored, a sec later the the left wing (the one that wasn't hit) falls off..  then I catch fire..

makes no sense..

Had that happen to me today in an Il2.  First time I've had it happen, but it was strange for sure.  Took a hit in the wing and the whole plane just sort of gave up.  I was angry and didn't save the film though.  I will next time for sure.  The damage in general seems to be somewhat off since the patch.

Something with me: I was upping B-26s, then decided I didn't want to and aborted the takeoff.  So I knocked off a wing (as you do...) and the knocked-off wing promptly caught fire :huh. I then tried taxiing the wingtip into a building, with the same result.  My plane then kept burning and didn't blow up.

Also, I noticed that M3s were being exceptionally durable - I was hunting them with the B-25, and usually a nearby miss with the 75mm would blow them up, however last night I needed to score direct hits to kill them.
Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?
Apparently I'm in the 20th FG 'Loco Busters', or so the legend goes.

Ya I knocked 2 guys out of the sky last night with about 12 bullets... was weird.

Last night in the WWI arenas I knocked down 4 guys and had 3 assists and my ammo counters read 387/389.    :D

Me and and sadsack upped PJ's yesterday. I had five kills myself, every single one was a flamer.  :headscratch:

yea, really annoying, no choice but to strictly BnZ right now, I had 2 taps on a jug last night, left wing off, on fire. Kinda reminds me way back when there was that bug that you could kill people from 1.5k+ for a day or so.

EDIT: not even worth trying to buff hunt either, makes me sadface

when you guys are shuddering with no control, have you checked your prop...I find mine is broken...I see half the prop blades spinning around...This happens a lot too..(This is in the Tony)

in the D9 my prop broke, but not because of anything..  I.E. i took the inital hit... then the plane froze, then a bunch of random stuff broke.  the gear fell off (both) the prop broke.. some other stuff too.

Aye...I should film it but they will have a couple more patches and have it all ironed out soon.

yea, I figure the same, I did a few flights to capture it and saved them but I figure they are on top of it by now. I'll send them in if it persists I guess, but tbh I'm only doing one or two flights a night till it's fixed up, don't like playin much when things are broken. I liked the idea of the new damage model, but as it is right now it just isn't very fun.
