Naw .... only 1200 mhz  baaaa thats nothing now adays lol.....

Hell yeah thats a good overclock !   Question is ....how stable is it? and how much Vcore are you throwing at it ?

1.4v on vcore and it is stable using full fft on prime95. Is there something else I should run?  Temps got up to 60C. Is that too much?  I have a liqiud cooler and not a lot of air moving through the case (2 fans).

60C seems hot to me but I've always ran AMD stuff ..... intel has it rated for a MAX temp of 72.6C  .  If it's stable....... and youdont expect  it to live for 5 or 6 years...... then I would run .

Thanks for your input ruk. I'll back it down a bit. I just wasn't sure if I was correctly overclocking my cpu. See ya in the skies.

Try to lower the Vcore, some review site got a 530 to a stable 4,5 Ghz at 1,35V...and it wasn't even a press sample. I think you should have some room for a lower Vcore without reducing clockspeed.

Being unfimilure with Intel CPU's I'm not up on the Vcore ranges of their chips but........ as a rule I always use as little Vcore as possible.  Vcore (heat)  is what sucks the life out of CPU's .

Choker, that is a fantastic overclock, and with liquid cooling you should be fine. I saw your new case looks kewl. I would add additional heat disapators though. Your system really is screaming there. Nice job bro. :aok
Max temp is 73c. So you have room. Your running warm no doubt. But I would say your fine. If you have a problem with any of cooling though, you may lose your chip. So pull the plug immediatley, and worry about corruption later.

Forgot who said this while trying to take a base, but the quote goes like this. "I cant help you with ack, Im not in attack mode" This is with only 2 ack up in the town while troops were there, waiting. The rest of the town was down.

If you're only reaching 60 and not exceeding it that's not too bad.  If it was running much over that on an extended Prime test I'd back it down but at 60 I'd run it like it is.  It's well within the operating specs.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

I just lowered my vcore to 1.35v and raised my bus speed to 205.  Now I'm running at 4.5ghz and 57C is highest core temp.  Thanks Boozeman for the voltage tip.

No problem, glad to see you having some really nice results. As you can see, core voltage in the main heat source. Maybe your CPU could take even less Vcore with this clockspeed, but really, I dont see a reason to tweak it further, those numbers are just fine.  :aok
