I would have to say the SE-5a, and then the Spad.  I have flown the Nieuport and it is not that impressive.  I enjoyed the SE-5 alot more fun it was all together a better flying plane.
 
Takeoffs are optional, landings aren't

The Spad is a must.. But the Nieuport 17 was one of the mainstays of the French Air Service.. They should both be added at some point..  :pray

and you would be right Ghost, along with the phalz III, but mostly the D III's, DVa"s and the DVII later in the war

I don't think they liked the Phalz 3 much, but your correct, they did fly them.
