How long to introduce a new plane?
« on: March 18, 2010, 05:11:34 PM »
The subject is asking Pyro or Hitech to give a time frame for producing a new aircraft, from inception to conclusion NOT when new aircraft will be done.  What I am wondering is what the work load for that is, discounting of course all the "other" duties the crew has to do.

I believe the question asked is not when or how long till new planes but merely how long does it ussually take for the crew to create and model a working aircraft in the game. For example is the time spent making the p51 roughly the same as the zero? or are there odd variables that make it impossible to tell how long it would take to measure the rough time it takes to create a plane.

and while we are all doing our best to make Hitech rich, I don't think even he has the money to cover the insurance to fly the few that ARE left available.

Back on topic, I love to see what goes into building a plane for the game Going from "idea" to flying it in the arenas. I think it would make a pretty cool documentary. Anyone know someone in Hollywood that can get this going?  :D

           Well, when I was developing my new sim and it took me just about 2 weeks to model and develop a new aircraft type. That is until I ran into some financial troubles, would anyone like to contribute? If so e-mail me your bank account numbers and I'll give you some stock in the Sim.

All jest aside I'm sure its quite a workload but a fun and rewarding one.

That sort of info is business sensitive.  Not the sort of thing you want potential (and current) competitors to know.  HTC does a very good job maintaining their proprietary data.

This question really can not be answered because there are so many variables that go into the question, the only answer really is , it depends on ............................. ............;

And no, I am not going to tell you what the depends are, so don't ask.
