I love the camo'd F4...it's actually a QF-4 drone that has been retrofitted back to an E model.

Ah the F-4 one of the military's prettier flying bricks.  :rofl

I tell ya it is my favorite aircraft. I grew up listening to those hulking engines fly overhead and hearing stories from the guys that drove this beautiful aircraft... a REAL mans aircraft they say:D. I will say that when it gets going overhead you will know what is coming at you without seeing it. Where F-16s have that shrill, high pitched screeching sound and the F-15s have the same x2. The phantom has a real guttural, rumbling, I’M GOING TO EAT YOU sound that shakes your bones and if you’re an a/c nut like myself, puts lead your pencil :rock

This was also the first time I saw the F-22 close up and in the air and WOW. Up close it looks and even feels (yea, i touched it lol) like something off the syfy channel and in the air it does what it wants when it wants.

I have a few more pics from the show and the Pima Air & Space Museum if you guys are interested.

Today is the final rehearsal for the airshow at DM. (Jappa didn't know you are on DM as well) I've been watching various acts warming up. The A1 skyraider is doing circuits while the A-10 demo is practicing over the strip. Neat watching the birds fly right over the RV camp here on base.
