The NEW WAR - Battle of Malaya
(RUNS MARCH 25th UNTIL MARCH 31st)

Battle of Malaya was a campaign fought by Allied forces against the Imperial Japanese Army from December 1941 to January 1942.

WAR SETUP
1. Each side is setup with one land base to launch their attack.
2. Japanese forces are given 6 carrier groups to simulate their actual invasion force of Malaya while the Allies are given a single naval group to simulate historical settings,
3. Map will be a neutral territory however each side is expected to advance their land forces.

Allied Forces Orders:
1. Establish a front-line against the approaching Japanese forces
2. Engage the Japanese army when required, but move into the region to setup your battlefront.
3. Resist Japanese forces when you engage their land push.  You will also come across MPAJA resistance on neutral fields on the island.
4. Victory conditions - maintain at least 50% of the island base coverage.
5. Tactics - your fighters are outclassed in a turning war, but matched with the Dutch Brewster. The Dutch are providing the new B-25C and the Brewster - use it's speed and agility to attack Japanese naval and ground forces. The Jeeps are excellent fast-attacking vehicles and troop carriers - utilize them in group tactics.

Imperial Japanese Force Orders:
1. Establish a beachhead on the main island
2. Push inland to establish additional bases and secure airfields for use. You will have to defeat MPAJA resistance on the island.
3. Engage and destroy Commonwealth forces that are racing to establish a front-line.

Re-writing History  :aok

Imperial Forces surprised the Allies, landing its invasion force a day earlier than Allied intelligence had expected.  As a result ground troops have captured a foothold on the southern tip of the Island and plan to reinforce and push inland.

The Allied command, blamed the faulty intelligence on stronger than expected tail current  :O which helped the Imperial Forces to reach their target ahead of schedule.  Allies responded and moved quickly to sure up some major defenses near their strategic airfield.  As they had feared, the nimble Zeke's and B5N's were dishing out heavy casualties off the eastern coast.  Still the Allied Forces held their own and further Imperial advancement was halted ` March 24th, 1942.
