Bomber Drones
« on: March 29, 2010, 04:51:56 PM »
Ok I have no video to back my claim, but I was flyin around with my squadmates at about 17 when we spotted really low bombers. I saw them and three of us went in to kill the bombers. I took the plane on the outer left and two wingmen shot at the others. I was second in when my squadie shot the first bomber down. I hammered the bomber i was on and knocked off his wing. The thing that gets me is the moment I hit the left hand bomber and when the first bomber exploded the last remaining drone "snapped" into the lead postion. This resulted in my having a collision at 500 knots. My wing came off and I darted the water. I dont think its right that the planes do that jumping comotion when you kill them. We were all really in tight on this set of b24s and we killed them really fast. I just want to know if there is anyway to keep the planes in the position they are in when flying instead of having the kinda "snap into the lead position"................ It aint lag either so dont even tell me thats the case. every time I kill a drone the formation on my screen does that snappy jumpy stuff.

Don't shoot the lead bomber. Drones will pop in their place so long as the lead isn't destroyed, which "drags" a drone in to replace it.

Just a fact of the game...always shoot the right bomber first.

I've got to agree with this, HTC is aware of how the drones operate and will choose to handle that how they see fit, even if that means not touching them.  So for now, when I'm attacking bombers, I make sure not to fly into an area where a bomber could warp or jump.  You should only make that mistake once, after that it's just your own fault.

Yea well me and my friends like to attack bombers in groups on a single pass. I think they should make it so the bomber slowly takes lead. I didn't even shoot the lead plane either it was a drone.
