A prediction for Mcboi and hockey fans alike

The hockey playoffs are near and though my dreams have been shattered by my team probably not making this year, :cry my prediction is the CAPS wont make passed the 2nd round. Although having an offensive jaugernaut of Ov, I dont think Varli can pull it off.Dont call me a communist, but Im kinda hoping a Canadian team will take Lord Stanley's cup this year.

Blackhawks have been great all year, until after the Olympics, after that it's been down hill, I mean we've already clinched a playoff spot, but they've only won 3 out of the last 10 or 11 games.

They just need to make a decision on a goalie.

All the years the Sabres have been giving away their talent, they still made it back into the playoff picture.   :rock

I see them making it to at least the conference championship.

Obviously ima say the Caps gunna win because thats my team but the only team i think that i would pull for other than the Caps would be the Sabres they looking real good right now  :aok

Me on the 20th in Tampa when the Caps beat the Lightning 3-1 (obviously im in the Capitals Jersey) I did learn 1 really important piece of information @ the game. Me + copious amounts of booze + away game = trouble LOL

Miller is on a roll and riding the Olympic high, even though he got the silver, I think he was the best of the 2 goalies

I predict that your prediction about the Capitals is delusional.  

I hate the Capitals and I'm saying this.  That team is absolutely stacked. Ovechkin isn't even their best forward.  He's just a Russian who can score....

Round one...
SJ/COL      
San Jose in 6.  Colorado will surprise them in the first game, but will fall in 6.

Chi/Nash
'Hawks in 5.  Without breaking a sweat.

VAN/LA
VAN in 7
This is going to be the closest series in the west.  Could easily go 7, with very high scoring games.  Vancouver squeaks....

PHO/DET
DET in 5  Detroit is going to steamroll Phoenix, if only because the Coyotes will be a bit star struck.  Bryzgalov could steal a game or two though if he gets hot.  If he does it early in the series, this could be the upset of the year, and PHO could turn it upside down.

WASH/MON
Washington in 5.  Montreal squeaks one due to Halak stealing it like a thief.

NJ/PHILLY

Philly in 4.  Philly has dominated NJ all season.  (5-1 vs NJ this season)  Don't know why, but the Flyers got the Devils # this year.  (Flyers subsequently get swept in next series vs Washington.)

PITT/OTT

Pitt in 5.  

BOS/BUF

BUFF in 5.  Boston just can't score.  They'll score even less against Miller.


Fast Forward to...

Final Cup Prediction Washington over Chicago in 6. Washington is way too strong in every position on the ice.  Better forwards, better defense, and the better of the two in goaltending.

Dark Horse East- Philly.  (Best defensive unit in NHL, if the forwards get hot, watch out.)
Dark Horse West- Phoenix  (Just a Cinderella story that could pan out.)
