I have never been able to "land" a PT boat -- always get a ditch.  Pointers?

Yes park it at docks at port or come to a complete stop within the boundary's of the CV fleet. Still don't know how to land them from an airfield with no CV around though.

it was only possable on the runways that had no grass between them and the water... you would dock on the runway and tower out.

if u have a cv task group (yours obviously) get ahead of it then stop and wait for the cv to pass and as its passing land

Ive landed over 50 kills in a pt. Its not that hard really. What you do is spawn the PT in a CV group and drive around getting kills and proxies for awhile and then stop within the cv group and "land" The auto-ack does most of the job for you and if you are extra clever you can drive very close to the cv and not be seen by many of the cv strafers.

Near an airfield with no CV around you have to come to a complete dead stop with no NME around. Similiar with landing a GV away from base...

Crappy part is waiting for it to come to a stop...   :huh

Not all that rare. The problem is the fleet usually moves on as soon as you spawn and most folks don't stick close enough to it. Then when they get damaged they tower or die, giving credit to the attacker. If you actually speed up and stay with the fleet you can get lucky and come to a stop within the (short) range it allows landing. It doesn't mean on runways, and I think it's also got the GV ditch component in it with regards to any nearby planes/GVs. You have to be totally free from enemy when you do it.

You will still get a ditch spawning from an airfield even when it is not flashing or any enemy within radar ring of any kind. Had PT boats up in empty arena besides me & it still ditches? At least the last time I tried.
