On a related note, I'd like to say what a fabulous idea it is, to have beautiful smoke displays in the DA. It's always been a dream of mine to dance around the dueling arena showering colored smoke like a rainbow fairy at a ghey day parade!  <---2 big thumbs up. You go sista!  <---that's me nanner bouncing

Maybe not with smoke, but I did see one account of a WWII fighter pilot would fire his guns if a plane were on his close six. The enemy pilot (i believe was German) immediately took evasive manouvers as-if an enemy was on his six. The pilot out front who was firing at nothing believed his spent shell casings hit the enemy plane behind him which saved him from being shot down.
