Well, it was good for a while, but now people are back to trying to post political topics again.  So, if you make a politically based post, expect a vacation from the board.  We will just take whatever time you have been suspended before and double it.  If it is the 4th offense, you will be permanently banned.

I thought this section of the boards was pretty lenient about post content.  I remember some pretty good discussions about what's going on in the world-->hard to avoid politics with everything that's happening out there.  Might just want to remove it (this section) rather than have it out there as a bomb ready to go off.  Or...go back to what it was.  Let folks vent here.  Of course...I thought that the OClub section here was intended for just this type of post.  I'm somewhat confused about who or what happened to change it to the current kindler, gentler o'club...

There's plenty of places on the intardnet for pundits to spew their pov.  If you have
some idiotic and innane urge to spout your opinion on politics (or religion or race or
whatever HTC has *asked* you people many times to take elsewhere) then GO where
those type of discussions are welcomed and encouraged. It's a no-brainer.

 I for one applaud HTC's efforts to make this place less caustic and more enjoyable to
visit.

So you are saying you have zero respect for our forum posting rules.  Anyone else feeling the same way can freely leave with him.  We have no time for those who have no respect for us.  This is our house.  You are all guests.  If you cannot act accordingly, then it will not hurt my feelings at all for you to leave, or get booted out of here.

If you do not like the way that sounds, tough.  There are plenty of folks who do respect our house and I am glad to know them and glad they are here.  We will bend over backwards to help them and make sure they have a place where they can have discussions while respecting our forum posting rules.

No one is making anyone stay here.  By posting here, it is assumed you will respect the forum posting rules.  Do not like the rules?  Then you need to find another forum that fits you.  A simple solution.

Let's toss out the baby with the bath water while we are at it.  Really?  There are plenty of non-political topics, as shown by the very content in the O'Club.  If you do not like the content, you are free to leave or stop bothering with the O'Club.  I think it makes more sense if you leave the O'Club, than shutting it down.

Skuzzy you edited only one of my posts in the past....I didn't realize I had posted something taboo. Leastways I didn't think it was at the time. But you guys do a tough job of going through post after post looking for this stuff and having to deal with folks who simply can't follow a few simple rules. I for one  everyone at HTC for the great job they do for the game and the community.
