I'm still using the M-1 as my primary (I'm still working my way up to M-16) because I can then equip C4 in assault...in HC servers which I play in the garand is an excellent alternative. I'm not so worried about the M-60, but nerfing the gustavs splash against infantry wouldn't go astray

Wait... what?!? How exactly do you equip C-4 in assault? I've unlocked all the guns and upgrades, and I cannot equip C4 in anything but recon...

(On a similar note, I too used the Thompson when a class I was working on didn't have any decent guns unlocked yet.)

If you equip any of the secondary rifles or shotguns you lose the 40mm and get c4s.

When it's close and nasty nothing is more of a shock than seeing an assault hit you with a shotgun.  Course nothing more annoying then some ultra melon sniping from halfway across the map with a damn slug loaded shotgun.

Thats why I carry the 40mm shotgun attachment on my M16A2
