Went and seen floyd during their delicate sound of thunder tour. That brought back a lot of hazy memories.
No thank you Turkish, I'm sweet enough.

My first concert was Floyd in 88, I was only 15 (same tour as you m8).

Wow!

Great stuff!

One of my top 3 Floyd songs.

the Great Gig in the Sky

Gave me chills.

They had 3 ladies sharing the vocal work and all 3 rocked it.

Amazing!  Think I like this better than the studio version.

Great stuff!  I don't think I've ever heard that piece from Pink Floyd.  Great instrumentals and great vocals!

When the second lady stepped up to the mic, I half-expected her to start out with "Hey, boppers..." :)

I had to look up the names of the vocalists on that:
Rachel Fury
Durga McBroom
Lorelei McBroom (her sister is Durga)

I saw them that tour also, was a freshman in high school.  I also caught them after graduation for the Division Bell tour.  Astounding both times.  I only wish I could have seen them in 1969, back when they were playing clubs around London, the Ummagumma days.  I listen to that album and am just blown away imagining going to see a new band in a club and having a performance like that layed on you.  The closest I've been to an experience like that was seeing Claypool at the Cain's this past year.  A two hour show of complete improv and very loose song structure.  People were openly weeping in the audience it was so overwhelming, and I don't think that would compare to the Floyd back at the height of their abilities.  The peak of Careful With That Axe, Eugene gives me chills every time.  Man they've put out some amazing music!

Gilmour was nailing Rachel Fury for most of that tour.   He had separated from Ginger by that point.

I got to see them on the Division tour also, simply incredible. I've been to dozens of concerts since then, and it was still the best.

One of Theses Days has always a been a favorite too. Loved the pigs they put on the side of the stage!

There's a documentary that came out not too long ago about the Dark Side album, it tells a great story about The Great Gig in the Sky, how the original singer thought she ruined the song (!).
Saw it on VH1 I believe.
