I've read the book several times. What can I say, I'm a Heinlein junky and I like my fix now and then. AFAIK it's still on the Army's Command and General Staff College reading list. Surprised the heck out of me when I saw it there back in 87. That's 1987 you dweebs NOT 1887. I agree that the book needed to be turned into a series. Maybe someone like Webber or Ringo could pick up the idea and run with it.

As for the movies. There has to be a high speed whirring sound at Heinlien's cemetery. He's GOT to be spinning at 25,000 rpm over those movies...........

The first one was bad enough. I didn't see the second one. While channel surfing the other week I saw they had the third movie on. Heck I never knew they did a 3rd one. Oh crap, was that bad. We watched it just to see how bad and predictable it would be. Gag!

They FINALLY got to the suits that were an integral part of the book. I suppose I'll have to look for the Roughnecks just to see what they do to it. I'll need some pepto and other anti nausea meds to get through it I bet.
