The best policy is not to take off from a capped field.
There is no need to up bombers at a capped field. So there is no need to go guns active on the runway. Up from a plane from a different field, use field guns, Wirbelwinds, Ostwinds, or an M-16. The tools are there, use them.

Ok scenario, vh is down guns are down furball going on over town with occasional vulcher cv off shore, I up a B25h to take out the cv I'm not going to fly a sector just to furball I don't usually up fighters (I know my B-25h). So what am I supposed to do just sit there while they're rolling lvt's? no i'm going to up on the field and hope i make it out alive there a difference between a capped field and a furball with a couple of vulchers. Hell i made it off ground when there where tanks on the field just in time to kill troops headed for the maproom.
Back when we had darker terrain right off the base I'd roll an IL2 from the hanger and swing left. Rarely would someone see you, just had to time it right so you could get into the dark "grass".
I admire your tenacity and your intentions seem noble. However, there are far more gamers out there that will turn it into a "park on the runway gun platform". I do feel your pain, as I am usually in the thick of it most times. I would offer a friendly suggestion to you, broaden your horizon a bit. For instance an LA-7 (only an example) can rip across a whole sector plenty fast with a couple of eggs that will easily kill LVT's. Not to mention the cannons eat troops, and your speed keeps you out of most carrier aircraft's grasp. Way
The sport of understanding women.
Not even while moving. -2I HATE, bomber "pilots" who don't know squat about bombing and yet try to act as though they could even drop the bomb(s) within 10 miles of the target. Example: Fly 10,000 feet, get a field gun by just dropping all over the base, die or bail and then complain or try to "brag".
So who will defend the field if no one will up. you know...or maybe you dont its those few people holding out till help arrives that usually saves the bases. Seems to be the number one thing Ive heard "dont up for a capped field" sure if theres no way, got ya. but if these enough room to run off the runway ina la5 shoot down a goon and die ina violent explosion Ill be there every time because to me that's fun.
I usually defend but when I bomb I'm not bad (definetly not the best though) drop a hanger or 2 or just go out dropping dar on the enemy coast. But how do you feel about getting vulched?
I know this is going to made me sound stupid(er) but what is the coad?
