Lower Price?
« on: April 13, 2010, 04:26:08 PM »
This has probably been asked many times. And I know I'm gonna get a lot of bad responses, but $15 bucks a month for just one game? It's a little extreme. $10 would be much more, you know, smart. $15 a month is more money than web hosting. And besides, it would probably get HiTech more customers. And don't whine that it would attract n00bs. Don't you remember when you were a n00b and couldn't even takeoff/roll correctly? And look at yourself now, you're level bombing bases in that Ar234 of yours by the minute. Just saying, $180 a year is a lot for a game. But, maybe, I might pay 15 bucks a month if you allowed Paypal and by the month payment (no auto renew). The sale depends on user preference. Just getting my idea out there.

~Guymed-

And no, I'm not a n00b anymore. I can level bomb, dogfight, dive bomb, fight in tanks and kill ships fine.

It used to be 30 bucks, and before that, it used to be pay-by-the-hour.

Also I don't see your deal about paypal. No one has ever been scammed by HTC, put that service record against Paypal.

I have nothing against HTC scam wise (anymore), but Paypal is easier for me.

Being serious though, I wouldn't say this is "just one game."  This game is significantly different than it was just a few months ago, it is constantly evolving.  How many PC games can hold someone's attention for years and year... and years, consistently?

I'm sure you've heard it before but currently you pay under $0.50 a day.  Take a constantly updated game and the fact that you can easily contact the creator of the game with questions, I'd say it's well worth $15.

Why is the current CC system hard for you?

if you can trust PayPal with your credit card you can most certainly trust HTC.  Pay up and come fly with the big dogs !

Well, can I at least be able to decide how long I want to pay for a subscription?

Yes. Cancel it before the next pay period.

Hmm , I believe 14.95 is fairly standard for most online games, except they make you pay for the box first before you can even try.

If $15 a month is too much for you, than perhaps AH is not the game for you.
