New Tank
« on: April 16, 2010, 02:25:00 PM »
There were other Hvy weights in the ranks of TANKS on the battlefields of WWII besides the TIGER. True most of them were manufactured by Germany but one in particular was from Russia. I would like to see the KV-1 enter in to service of the AH ranks. With the addition of this Monster a more balanced battle could result with the TIGER. The KV-1 had armor and a large enough main gun to slug it out with its nemisis the Tiger. No "One Shot" kills as is the case now with the Pak IV, T-34 and T-85. This particular addition could make things a little more interesting.

You've been reading something I missed because all the information I can find says that tank had a lot of faults and was less competitive on the battlefield than the T-34. It was either too light armored or too heavily armored...and the main gun stunk. Unless you're talking about the KV-1B and KV-1C models...the tank that came after it was a true "heavy weight".

It was the best tank of the war..........   :aok

In the year 1939.

By 1941 it was already outdated.

The Firefly is at the top of ww2 tank technology, therefore another tank of ANY sort would only introduce yet another easily consumable prey animal to the game...

WAIT, I LOVE Firefly's!!!
In that case, BRING ON THE PANTHER!  :rofl

Seriously, the ground game has been turn'd on its head..., and will remain so until some sort of reality is reintroduced in the form of Shermans that take realistic damage.

Im honest when I say any more Uber German (or of any nationality for that matter) tanks would be a waste when the Firefly is so strong.
It's not that I wouldnt love to drive somthing new..., it's just that any introduction seems pointless considering that further historical heavywhieghts would be overmatched in the face of an American tank that can survive multiple hits in its ammo storage by 88mm's.

The "Game" has a long way to go yet..., its surprising that the developers havent realised this yet...

Substitute 88mm with any caliber you like, I use it as an example because it happens to be the largest in the game...

Say Rino..., do you often hop around in here putting words in peoples mouths, or is it somthing you recently started doing?
I actualy prefer the Firefly...

Bring on the cannon fodder!

Nope, was just wondering what a semi-reasonable request for a KV-1 has to do with your wah waahing about
the Sherman yet again.  At least I didn't get another PM from Mr Sensitive this time  :D
