I almost always find myself in agreement with Cit's posts, but this one I would change slightly -

I'd love to see the P-39Q in US colors for a New Guinea campaign, but at the same time introduce the P-63 in VVS colors.   The planes would share an awful lot of artwork.

One thing the US planeset doesn't have is a big-gun ground attack A/C.  P-39 fills the bill nicely.

I too would love to see either a P39 or a P63 in Aces High.

I think the P63 would fit our MA better, and get more use, but the P39 would fill the scenario role better.

Agreed........

Unfortunately the P63 recorded one kill in WWII.... VVS downed a Japanese AC  over one of Japans north islands in the last few days. Both the air cobra and the king cobra should have VVS markings.........

How about a P-400 in USAAF colors, and a P-39N or Q in VVS colors?

I really like the P-63 too.  I know the "Fred" didn't see much combat but with water injection it was a HOT airplane and would be a very entertaining addition to the perk list.  It should clearly have VVS markings - only combat use of the KingCobra was with the VVS.

If you are a USAAF P-39 fan you should read this book, "Angels Twenty": http://www.senet.com.au/~mhyde/burbanks_books_ww2.htm

P-400 was basically a P-39D (not P-39D-1 or P-39D-2, these are different planes) with a Hispano replacing the 37 mm.  It was used interchangeably by USAAF P-39D squadrons in the Pacific.  I think overall the USAAF got about three P-400's for every four P-39D's.  They had the early -34 and -35 engines with the 1150 hp rating.  The true Iron Dog.    :)

Why, A P-40 with a Zero on it's tail   :D

It was a P-39 built to a Brit order, and diverted to U.S. use in the pacific. Lots of little bugs, and a nonstandard O2 system.

Yes RAM.  It's arguably the crappiest model of the P-39 to see service.    :)
I think it would be a blast to fly these against A6M2 and Ki-43 in scenarios.
USAAF used a couple hundred of them in North Afrika as well.  Bring on your Me 109F.   :D

LOL MC202...I had already read that joke before, but didnt know what the P400 was in fact  :).

Funked, you really REALLY want to fly that thing against a Zero?...against a Ki43 I can understand it (two peashooters wont even scratch the paint of the plane after all)...but against a Zero?.

You are masochist or what?  :D
