My Great Uncle had his memorial service today.  Found out today that he has a purple heart and fought in the battle of the bulge.  He served in the US army in the 12th armored divion, 493rd Armed Field Artilery Battery, 1944-45.  http://www.12tharmoredmuseum.com

We use to celebrate our birthdays together as they were both on the same day, lol.  Will miss him. :salute

Sorry to hear about family loss AKDogg, it's sad to see another one from that generation go,  every year there's fewer and fewer left.

Sorry to hear that AKDog.  You have my sincerest condolences.  Every year there's fewer left to tell the story.  It's sad to say but someday they'll all be gone.
