Squad message of the day

Is there a way of this being an automatic opening when squad members first login in....or is it something that needs to be opened manually?

i have the same problem. the squad im in for AvA it pops up on its own. in the MA i have to open it manually. dont understand.

Not sure why it works some places, not in others.
For our squad I'd say about 2/3 of the time it works in the SEA.

May be due to a setting on HTC's part, or something about the way its coded.

IN oclub tongs, click squads then sqaud message, u shud see my squad message heehee

And don't forget the dot command .showsquadmotd which should bring up your squads arena message.
I never get the squad message during FSOs. Now in mains I'm in The Specialists whereas in FSO I'm with USMC/71, not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Cheers fuzeman...but should it be able to just pop up just like when HTC put up a MOTD...just wondering ...seems some have had it but not in the mains.

my squad motd pops up autmatically in every arena..

i use the upload file method though, maybe the manual entry method doesnt work the same..

nevermind.. i guess there is only one method.. i coulda swore there was a way to enter in message in the oclub, guess not..

IIRC, there are two options to upload. [1] Through O'Club you can type a very short Squad Message and upload that. [2] From the O'Club, you can upload a larger Squad or Arena Message by uploading a text file. This is the method I use for FriKOTH when I upload my Arena Message. And [3]?  there may be a dot command for uploading a squad message. Confirmed using the .help command. There is a dot command .setsquadmotd LocalFileName which I'm assuming is similar to option [2] covered above. So as I said first, there are three options to upload a squad or arena message 

And after further cogitation, there is actually a fourth method. And I actually use this method for the FriKOTH Arena Message and not [2] as I had stated above. Going into Options and Arena Setup you can upload an Arena Message through CM tools.

So as I stated there are two... er three... er four methods for uploading a Squad or Arena Message.

nevers appears in any arenas for me, ive set them up in the past and noone has seen them, others have too. ive tried the short message and the file - neither pop up, but they do show in O'Club.

the CM set ones do pop up though when ive done events/snapshots in the past.

could be a very useful feature if it worked, not all squaddies check the forums often so announcing squad duels/new squaddies/event stuff etc would be very helpful.
