Mom's email not working

I use bellsouth and like it or not they are under at&t now. You can actually use yahoo to log in and get your mail. I think they also made changes to the way the smtp and pop3 logins are handled but if you are accessing using your own computer you should already be aware of the changes.

Yes I am. Outgoing 465 and incoming 995 (I think). I know it almost by heart after spending soooooooooooo much time working on my mom's comp. If my other computer does not have any issues with her e-mail i will give it to her (maybe) and just build a new gaming rig in the future.

If you connect your computer to your mother's connection and you can send to her account and it works maybe if you have a extra NIC card install it in her computer. Check for bad cabling.

I'm guessing maybe if your computer works and her does not that maybe the packets are getting messed up and denied at the mail server.
Just a guess.

I guessing his mother's outlook or outlook profile is screwed up.  Or he has antivirus software blocking the outgoing port.

Welp, I'm no tech expert. Right now I'm working on the corrupted profile theory and the bad modem theory. I'm testing the bad modem theory tomorrow. Taking my comp over there and see if I can e-mail from it. If I can then it is the computer in some way. Like one person said try a NIC card. I also have another theory. I think it may be a corrupted operating system. I think it was bad from day one. No sooner did she have it then she had an e-mail get stuck in it. So I may by the windows 7 home version and give that a shot. Further she can use her e-mail addy on the at&t webmail and it works great.

Updat: One day of frustration!! My computer worked was able to send/receive email using her address and connection. That blasted computer room of hers was hot hot hot. I had sweat running into my shorts and my temper was getting short. Further she had crap everywhere in that room for her cats and I feared I would trip. Then she was being difficult. She wouldn't take my computer so I could work on hers. She needs to replace a 10 year old accounting software but wouldn't (It won't backup and is not supported by the maker). She doesn't want to install a new operating system.

So my hands are tied. Uhg!!

  Yep! but she says she has trouble with webmail. So I set her up an account anyway.
