What TW9 said.

Forget about your illusions of loyalty.

Try when you log in always switching to the low side for a tour.

You might just find that the only thing holding you back is .... you.

BUMP
tonight after a few nights off, log in (yawn) under 50 players, its getting worse, as less log on more log off, its time to get more players for the night shift, i have tried recruiting but my local gay bar only has knights and i don't want the numbers going against me , unless the are squeakers or noobs (rooks).
The game is good fun but i might as well be playing off line as there are at least 4 drones to shoot at :[
I officially declare "shenanigans" and that's no a good thing.

I don't think the HUGE maps help at all when there are only 60-100 people in Late war.  However this is around 9am-1pm GMT, 4am-8am EST.  The American majority that play the game do need to sleep at some point.

Apart from some international advertisement what would you propose HTC do to try and increase numbers at these specific times?

Bearing in mind that all other ww2 games will see next to no people online at these times.  If your an Aussie you need to get up early and play between 7am and midday!

Yes, I have noted less player activity.  I have heard that it is that time of year, and have to echo that sentiment.  In just a couple of weeks now, you will be back to putting the ear plugs in and squelching a great number of folks.  As much as we razz "squeakers," the lil buggers do make nice fuzzy things to shoot at.

My solution for the meantime do something different.  Try the Axis versus Allies arena.  All you need is 2 or 3 other guys in and it's non stop fun.  The action is so close (planes can launch from some vBase hangars) a fight is on from the get in only a few SECONDS!!!!  :aok

Plus!  If you were not around during the  :old: AH1 days, you will be surprised to hear that night time exists there.... as well as..... wait for it.........   NO ENEMY ICONS (following your plane around, announcing every potential maneuver)   :airplane: {ENEMY ICON |  ----  --- -- :airplane:

The late night numbers and crowd varies, I'm sure Skuzzy has some numbers to back up my unofficial observations on the populations somewhere.  60 is on the lower end, but it will probabley rebound shortly to over 100.  Personaly my schedule and and real life has been a little nuts for me to spend my late evening on AH like I would preffer.

My only gripe lately though has been the arena caps, but what's new there.  I get online at 10:30pm my time (pacific coast) for some pre-sleep flight and the last of my squadies still up are on orange.  The arenas are at 203/200 (orange) and 172/200 (blue)  :furious

be interesting to see skuzzies figures, as i am on most nights and if i saw 60+  players i would be happy!, i wouldn't even complain about the eny points system, but its getting well below that.
It would be great if there was a way to increase the numbers, marketing it to other countries or bring back a prize for players, i know many aces that would play for cash, my former squad leader from over 8 years ago won a few times and it would have been 6 months pay in is country.( he no longer plays)
I am no ace far from it but anything to get numbers back up, as a business the aces leaving and numbers dropping would be of concern to me, but...

Don't go there asking about how many customers and how much money Aces High generates.I made that mistake, and I only meant well. What AH makes in income and how many players they have is their business.I think we have plenty of players, and remember this is the only game in town as Wild Bill and War Birds is just about to go under.Speaking of WB'S,I was digging around looking for some books I had on bowling, and sure enough I found a manual for Air Warrior.I quickly placed it in a prominent spot on my desk,so I could bow my head in respect. :pray AH is a great game, but Air Warrior had a karma about it,and I always try and chat with old AW'ers. To this day I refuse to purchase anything from EA!So anyway fear not Dale and gang will always be there.Like every business things go well and then a slower period.I think I've mended my ways,so Skuzzy can I get off the latrine duty now? :lol

What time and days do you regularly play at?  The lowest numbers I've ever observed are late at night on the weekdays and last ~1-2 hours, before the old-timers on the east coast start waking up and hoping online (around 5-6am EST)

I think it might be Ack season in Australia at the moment too. I'm finding heavy ack around my computer desk, I think with winter coming on they want more cuddles.
