Cornhole anyone?
« on: April 27, 2010, 09:49:42 PM »
Originally saw this in a campground last year in Southern Missouri. Built ourselves a hole and bought some bags online. Have been playing some now that spring is here. Anybody else like to play? Seems to go well with beer.

You can find links here to buy the boards, bags and other equipment but the board was easy to construct.

We call it cornhole around here too. I havent heard it ever called anything else. But little did I know that asking Karaya a few years back when he was in town if he wanted to play cornhole would turn into a a giant joke about me wanting to go play "cornhole" with Jay behind the shed

Very popular around here among the student population. I originally heard it called cornhole, but most people give you the  :huh look when you call it that, it is primarily known simply as "bags".

"Down south"? WTF does that mean? Just because some Texan found out about some game that started in YANKEE land OHIO!!! According to the website listed DOES NOT MEAN IT IS A SOUTHERN THING!!!!

Besides only a YANKEE game would be called CORNHOLE or BAGS even! I tell ya nothing good can come of this thread!

That was the first thing I thought when I saw the title. So, naturally I had to look!  :devil

Hmmm? Why in the world would "they" (whoever) choose this name? Possibly they were counting on the " :O WHAT?" reaction?
Have to admit, it does get attention, for whatever reason ppl have in their minds...

I think it's funny, for the obvious reason..
