I want a <dot> command that
« on: April 29, 2010, 11:29:01 AM »
allows the setting of a given fpm climb rate.  Like ".climb 1250", and it would be nice if it worked for descent too, ala ".climb -2100".  I wish for this cause I am lazy, and getting my climb needle just where I want it annoys me.

Are you kidding me! You're too lazy to pull back on the stick and hit auto angle?! I'm shocked you found the energy to type your wish quite frankly.

If you think about it, auto-angle does not account for change in engine performace at varying altitudes. Your climb rate will fluxuate just like it does at auto-speed. There are probably instances where maintaining a constant climb rate would be useful. Can't think of any off the top of my head, but they probably exist...

-1 not needed...auto-speed and auto-angle are good enough.

You know you can hit auto-angle, then use trim up and down ("I" and "K") to adjust that angle you're auto-ing at, right?

So if you set auto angle at 1000fpm, but after a few thousand feet it's dipped to 800fpm, you just hit the "trim nose down" key or "trim nose up" key a tap or two until you get the angle you want.

Kind of ignores the "auto" part of the request.  :joystick:

Well then I'd like auto-fly, auto-dive, auto-shoot, auto-kill, auto-aim, and auto-land please. :)

Oh, and auto single-finger-salute :)
