Call of Duty: Black Ops
« on: May 01, 2010, 06:15:06 PM »
Speechless. Activision says the new Call of Duty is coming out November. I can't really tell what the story is going to be, but it looks like vietnam. However, it also looks like a flashback so your guess is as good as mine.  Check it.

It's supposedly going to span from Vietnam to Cuba as some of the weapons included in the game are from the late '70s.

i wont be buying it, just another hack filled COD game and Ive heard that the lead design staff at Activision have all quit

38 Infinity Ward designers sue Activision over withheld bonuses Seeking up to $625 million in damages
If the 27 now ex-employees weren't enough for you, members of Infinity Ward have filed a lawsuit against Activision for those withheld bonuses we've mentioned before, among other matters. Accoring to previous reports and now the lawsuit, Activision is witholding a large portion of the bonuses the employees depend on once a game is released, the idea being to keep them around as other employees quit and the stakes get higher for any remaining.

this game is not being made by Activision. it is being done by the people who did Call of Duty world at War. and i still play the 1st call of duty 4. and i have not seen any hackers for a while because server admins use tools like AON PB bans GGC witch all Stream PB bans and bans are added every day.

Ummm doesnt Activision own Treyarch and IW?

In all honestly Ive enjoyed the games when it was Call of Duty 2 and earlier.  Each side had specific guns not this upgradeable garbage and each side can select any gun.

While Vietnam era will be interesting would like a WW1 era.

Looked Vietnam with the huts and hueys in that one scene, a SR71?  Cant imagine how they will implement that into the game.

I love the CoD series...except never has a Treyarch product worked on any computer I have owned. Bought WaW, installed on old PC locked up during load. i followed all fixes...still locked up. Bought brand new rig this year with MW2 works great...installed WaW.....locked up. Treyarch spews crap with every release. Just wish IW was doing this version.....

I think it looked Vietnam, but what's with that futuristic room that it starts in? I think the game might be a flashback perhaps, or in an extreme case futuristic war fare, or perhaps aliens?

Just how would a WW1 game be played?

"Stands up"
"shoots"
"crouches down"
I don't think trench ware fare would be very fun. Perhaps a few take overs and defenses, but it can only go so far.
