lead is pulling for a shot so  your aiming to get your nose pointing infront of the guy.

lag is  keeping your nose behind the con and waiting for a better opportunity.  your still turning with him.  I find this most useful when your countering some aggressive overshoot moves.

I try to get behind red guys and shoot them. Apparently therein lays my problem....I'm playing checkers and YOU bastids are playing chess

That seems like a rather generic answer to me.

Other's have described lag, pure, and lead pursuit.  There's one more that I'm not sure what you would call it so we'll call it future lead pursuit. 


future lead pursuit
   Flying where your opponent will be 5 to 10 sec down the road giving you a great snap shot.  You intuition willl tell you where you need to fly to get that 150yrd to 200 yrd shot.  Flying the k4 I try to get that 100 yrd snapshot through future lead pursuit.  This key I believe separates the great sticks from the average.  All "angles" like playing chess as someone described. 

Alot of good information i this thread and if people would follow some of the acms tips in this thread we'd have some great fights in the future.
