Thank you for the nightime!
« on: May 02, 2010, 06:19:41 PM »
Gentlemen,

Must thank you very much for including night time in this setup! It only lasts 5 minutes but, oh, they are intense! Already got two kills as a night-fighter! But mainly, I was missing it for a long time...

Cheers,

I sneaked away in a C47  as a  BF110 found us NOE. Luckily  dusk and darkness came!     Haha.

Also loved the darkness/dusk as I intercepted an incoming ju88,  shot off his two drones but  lost  visual on the pilot as he dove in low light conditionsn to bomb allied field.    Ack  pointed out his relative position,  strained eyes to locate him, then found a ghostly figure flying low over the trees.  Did not open up my fire till reight behind him because the guns would blind me from seeing him and if he were to jink,  I'd lose sigh all over again.  Well, he died.

Intense!

Night lasts about 10 minutes from sunset to sunrise...it's not as hard as I thought it would be...just have to look for the "anomalies".

:rofl I hope not...watching Jaeger do that would force me to poke my eyes out.

Does anyone want the night time to last longer? What about the clock settings, is the cycle too fast or too slow? I don't know what it is now but IMO the cycle needs to be slowed down a bit, perhaps to something like 2.5 hours to cycle through a full day from sunrise to sunrise with night time lasting 30 minutes...but that's just me and for some reason most days when I can get online, the arena is empty so I'm not getting a lot of time in there.

Sorry fellas, there are fewer of us hardcore enough to handle night actions in the AvA than there are other people that we must take into consideration.

Night is being disabled for a more subtle setting.
