This Week in the AVA-- Birth of a Legend
« on: May 07, 2010, 10:06:12 AM »
Second Sino Japanese War 1937-1941.

On 13 September 1940, the Zeros scored their first air-to-air victories when 13 A6M2s of the 12th Kokutai led by Lieutenant Saburo Shindo
attacked 27 Soviet-built Polikarpov I-15s and I-16s of the Chinese Nationalist Air Force, shooting down all the fighters for no losses.
WO Koshiro Yamasnota became the first Japanese Naval Aviator to make ace in a day downing 5 of the 27 Chinese fighters.
Before they were redeployed a year later, the China based Zeros had shot down a total of 266 Chinese aircraft.

Supposed to be A6M2. It's a typo I'm hoping.

{edit}
I just went into the AVA and the A6M5 is enabled in place of the A6M2. This is not the setup I proposed so Jaeger can have the credit for it.

Nice setup Shifty and something different.  :aok
I know you would never stick the A6M5 in a 37-41 setup.

My guess is that someone has tampered with your design and I bet I don't need but one guess to tell you who's grungy fingers have been on it.
To this dolt I would say, if you want to dick around with a setup, do so with your own and leave others designs alone, especially when they are trying to keep it as historical as possible. It is not your personal arena, get it?
And to the other AvA CM's I would ask that you please be careful who you give the keys to.

in order to make fighting more conducive, and per request, 3 bases have been changed to japanese, and the I16 is now available at all bishop Vbases. ive tried to modify the MOTD to reflect changes, however im having a problem with it. i will try it again later, but for now, its not in the motd.

You're thinking about the shoe box sized light tanks...check out their medium and heavy tanks.

Hope Jaeger  fixes the base capture bug.

Currently unable to capture V bases,  both myself and DocEvil have tried.

Is it a bug, or did you miss a manned gun or not bring enough troops.  This is very important to know.  Thanks for bringing this to his attention.  :aok

Jaeger, check your PMs please sir.
