Why do the rockets go farther when it in reverse as shown in the picture? That seems totally backwards I must be missing something here.

I really couldnt say. Ive often wondered why myself, a wild guess maybe its the angle of the vehicle when in motion? like when you stick it in gear and push forward when the engine isnt on it lurches forward pushing the nose down a bit to reduce the angle, while reverse has the opposite effect to make a longer arc? dont think Ive ever seen an explanation as to why myself.

Thats possible. I hadn't thought about that.
