What Pray Tell have you done to Aces High?

The sign on screen is Windows *not like the Screen we all loved*.
The mouse is slow to learn movements *not like the old Aces High we loved*
Once in a game it's "ZERO FRAME RATES* which is the same as Congress on any Bill.
The game is unplayable.
It is not "My Connection"..It is not "My COMPUTER"... I have not Downloaded anything prior to the recent Aces High update patch.
Where did I go wrong?

Well, you can start with the title of your post. Then the fact that you obviously didn't bother to read the release notes for the update. And do you honestly believe nothing on your computer could be contributing to the issue? I can see offers of assistance just pouring in.

It's your computer.  Mine is fine.  Everything works just as it should.  My mouse is just as responsive (even in the windowed log in screen) and my frame rates in-game are as they always have been.

WRONG my system was working fine then along came this patch (I call it mini death) and I have all of the above symptoms also only I went two steps further.

I uninstalled the game and video drivers and re-installed them .

Still no go

                     Houston there is a problem

Yep I did the same....I was expecting another patch today but nope. I think it is some thing about the way some of us connect to htc.

Had same issues, but only the first time I logged into the new patch.

Second time, everything was just peachy, and actually was around 5 FPS faster than last week.  I don't know why, but it fixed itself, never touched a single setting on my rig.

*EDIT* Had to do the exact same thing today.  Log in first time...mouse freeze every two seconds, FR of 2 in arena, with massive freezes.  Log out.  Relog.... no issues.

The one thing I did see different was the "Vidmem" and "Vid used" tags at the top of screen were different between the two.  The first login had "Vidmem 0" "Used 33.4"  The second login had "Vidmem 512.0" "Used 33.4"

Hope this helps find the issue.

I had this same problem. I went in Unchecked the detail and anit-aliasing All eye candy.. then went back in and checked them all. It works fine now.

Just needed to disable all the eye candy then re enable it.

Prior to this deleting the "video8.cfg" file did NOTHING.

Best thing to do is post a DXdiag for skuzzy and others to look at.
