Fritz Sennheiser
« on: May 19, 2010, 02:46:45 PM »
Professor and Dr Fritz Sennheiser has passed away at age 98. His company has pioneered audio technologies and in particular headphone technologies beginning in the U.S. in 1963 (Germany even earlier) and saw such innovations as the shotgun microphone and open headphones. He will be missed and never forgotten.

truly great engineer :rock

got my first pair of HD414s as a kid in the 80s, never realised they had been making them since the mid 60s :o I mean just look at the design, compared with what everyone else was (and still are) doing:

as it happens my headset is on the way out so as a tribute I've just ordered a PC161:

RIP Fritz :salute
