This is the 1st band I ever seen in concert. Probably my all time favorite. I bet most of you have never heard of these guys.  Crank it up! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fau9dQWhv_Q

I'm pretty sure I broke several federal, state and local laws at that concert  :devil

They were the warm up band for the Outlaws  :rock I still have the ticket stub. $7.00

Favorite of all time.  Tough call, way too many choices.  But I want this song played at my funeral so it must mean something to me.

Hey Uptown, check out some of the stuff by Uncle Tupelo, they led what was later called the "alternative country" movement back in the 90's and they have songs the run the width and breadth of popular music from punk to traditional folk covers.

Their 3rd album "March 16-20 1192" is all acoustic, recorded at Peter Buck's home (of REM fame).

They also covered the old Carter Family song "No Dpression"

Probably one of their more well known songs, the band is dead but the songwriters still performs this song with his new band Son Volt.
