In Memory of Vega CO of Dickweeds

I'm sorry to inform you I heard from Turbo Last night that Vega CO of the Dickweeds had passed away yesterday. Rolling Thunder Salutes Vega and the Dickweed in this time of grief our prayers go out to the family of Vega.  :salute :pray

Im very sorry to hear this , Ive known him since Warbirds in the 90's

 He was always a pleasure to fly with, and lead one of the best Bomber squads of all time

Very Classy guy, he will be missed here

My Condolences to his family, and to all the members of DHBG

I have known Vega for almost 10 years now, he is the one who introduced me to Aces High.

Vega flew for American Airlines for 37 years before retiring.  Vega was far from flying however.  He would always send out pics of him flying his bonanza and the latest aviation news.

He has been the CO of the DHBG for over a decade.  He ran it very well, and had the respect of all who flew with him.

More than flying with him on squad nights, I am happy to have known him.  He was definitely full of life and it showed.
He was one of those guys you just want to be around.  It was a kick in the chest to hear he passed on.
