Radio text buffer with radio set to "all"
« on: May 30, 2010, 09:00:38 AM »
I’m sure this is a really stupid question but it’s driving me nuts. When I’m in either of the late wars I never get any display of my own messages in the text buffer with the radio set to “all” and don’t believe I am sending any messages out. I seem to be receiving text from every one. I don’t want to seem like a salamander when someone sends a salute my way (rare) and fail to acknowledge them.  All of the other radio’s seem work fine and all of the other arenas seem to work fine as well.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Channel 1 "all" is not enabled in the Late War Arenas.

Cross country communication is done via CH 200, but not everybody is tuned to it.
To salute an enemy that might not read CH 200, use the salute dot command.

There's a simple explanation. Ch.1 was default on always, and it often got rather annoying, and I don't recall exactly, but there may have been too much moderation going on (HTC got tired of policing it?) so they disabled it.

CH.200 is the unofficial new channel, and if folks tire of it they do not have to tune to it. The catch is that new players need to be told to tune to it in the first place! :)

What I do when in the late war arena is just overwrite in the box where it says "all" and type in "200" instead, then it is tuned and ready to use..
Guess there are different ways to do it, and perhaps better ways too but that has worked well for me.
