DX8 users should mosey along to www.saitekhelp.com  and take a look at the new SGE 2.3 Beta software. This actually installs on Windows 2000 and works fine with my Cyborg 3D USB, but still has major problems with the X36 (details in the fora there). It does not solve the problem of AH seeing the stick but refusing to accept any inputs at all.

a. it is un-installable (see threads below);
b. it's not a beta anymore - full release has been out for awhile now...;
c. if, say, 3dfx announce the latest official release of their drivers to be written for DX8 - why would I not install it?

DX8 is no longer Beta

SGE 2.3 *is* Beta. I installed it to see if I could finally play AH on Windows 2000.

QTS,

   I have DX8 and my USB X36 with CH propedals running fine. Are you usb? If you added DX8 after your X36, you might want to remove SGE and reinstall it.

W98+DX8+SGE 2.3+X36 isn't a problem
W2000+ the above still is a problem.

W2000 is vastly more stable on my machine than W98 - I regularly leave my machines running for weeks at a time. And when I reboot, it's only because I want to test something in W98. I simply cannot get that reliability in W98.
