Hey Thanks, but I need to fly before I go live.  I know I am a decent pilot, but I want to take off by myself.  Hell, I have taken off of a carrier and landed on a carrier in IL2 many times.  Cant understand why I am having so many issues.  It must be the stick.... :D

Gonna give it a go again tonight.  The control set up is a little confusing to me right now.  I want to configure my stick with all the buttons too.  Comms, trim, landing gear, lights and my beer refrigerator.

I feel so lost with all these settings right now.  Is there some typical X52/Throttle configuration file I can download?

   Welcome aboard! with your big 24" (lol) thats what I got he,he,  make sure to run the high resolution package!
Your gonna be on a learning curve just on mapping your contrller in (theres so much stuff) but in the end you will learn to love all the knobs and dials, there is actually nothing that you can't change to suite your need's!  make sure that your controller is clibrated in window's and in the game!  and even do the knob's and slide! 
   I've played IL2 for (not long) Aces High is more compition minded than graphix's!  going thru a couple patch issue's right now that I know will be fixed!  get a mic!  read the forums, some of the things people do in this are unreal  (experiance level <S>) welcome to the new (CRACK ROCK) lol,  and I'm still a rookie after one year of flying!
