TrackIR stops working sometimes

not sure if this is a game issue or a trackir issue.

but it seems that if i minimize the game and get back in later sometimes the trackIR no longer functions.

if i get disco'd and re-open AH and get into the arena, i find the track IR wont work without restarting both the game and the track ir software

also happens if ah freezes up, or if i exit the game, leave the trackir software open, and then open the game back up say the next day it will fail to work unless i close the trackir software and then reopen it, and the game.

its annoying because i often start the sortie only to have to exit, wastes my game time and brings my score down :/

I make it a habit to restart the TIR software everytime I restart AH.

Also ensure a 2-3 second delay between starting the TIR and AH software, in that order of course.

I've had to do this habit since day one, 3-4 years ago.

I've had this problem as well pretty ever since 2.19 came out, except it just does it at random times... just no more TrackIR input to the game.  My unit is still lit up and the LED changes color by pausing/unpausing it... just no reaction from AH.

If I quit and restart AH (leaving the TrackIR software untouched during this time) then it all works normal again.

I use TrackIR V4.  I was using the V5 software with it but I was having similar issues so about 6 months ago I went back to the V4 software with no problems until AH2.19 came out.

To be honest, I hadn't really considered this to be much of an issue, as it's only done it a few times, but now that someone else is reporting similar symptoms I figured I'd chime in as well.

Maybe if there could be a way to re-initialize the Track IR system without having to quit/reload AH that would fix these kinds of anomalies...

perhaps like a     .reset t      command or something...

Yeah this bug sux. Having to restarting trackir everytime you start AH is lame. Trackir not working with post disco, inflight game restart is lame. I don't like doing alt-f4 out of the middle of a sortie because trackir stopped. What can we do about this?
