So I went with a Abit KA7 MB with Slot 1-800 Mhz Athlon. Total price $309.00 with shipping it was about $324.00 and some change. I can give you the vendor if anyone is interested. I based my choice on the info provided by Anandtech and some others. Until I get some more money saved I'll be able to use my PC100 mem. This was an OEM chip.

I compared the Celeron and was convinced not the way to go. The Duron also was kinda near the bottom where performance mattered. The prices where good but when you compare the charts and test from cpu's all the way up to 900 mhz it became clear if I went that route that I would be behind the tech curve faster than by the selection I made.
