Can't get CH gear to work right.
« on: June 04, 2010, 09:20:16 PM »
I've just finished putting together my dream control set.  I got the combat stick, the pro throttle and the pro pedals.  I've installed the CH manager software.  This thing will not behave in AH...  I can't get AH to even recognize the throttle.  Left is down and down is left for the stick...  The funny thing is, I've been using the throttle and pedals for some time.  It wasn't until I added the stick that all of the trouble started.  I guess I need help...

What OS? I have Win7 64 bit and it sees everything fine. Each controller needs to be setup seperately. In the controllers setup section mode 1 you should see a drop down tab that shows each CH control. Select one and start programming it.

Thanx HTC for the excellent customer service!  I have returned the favor by canceling my account!  Again!

Are you serious??
HTC has superb customer service and a great (and active) user community willing to help everyone.  But, it would seem when someone asks a question because they can't get their rig to work, and they get a reply within an hour and another the next day, it's not good enough so they lash out.  Can't say I'll miss you.

Sounds to me like your trouble started with the new stick...maybe your problem lies there.  Does it calibrate properly in the CH software, along with your throttle and pedals?

Not sure why I'm even asking, since you already quit the game in disgust.  Good luck in life.
My Current Rig:
GigaByte GA-X99-UD4 Mobo w/ 16Gb RAM
Intel i7 5820k, Win7 64-bit
NVidia GTX 970 4Gb ACX 2.0
Track IR, CH Fighterstick, CH Pro Throttle, CH Pro Pedals

forum non grata....

I belive the answer would have been to delete and control configuration from AH and start over but it no longer matters.

The fix is simple and in most cases a result of improper setup by the user.

1.  Remove CH controllers from machine
2.  Uninstall Control Manager
3.  Reboot computer
4.  Re-install Control Manager (follow on screen instructions)
5.  Start Control Manager
6.  Calibrate CH Controllers within Control Manager (v. 4.51 required you calibrate within CM)
7.  Load/create template
8.  In Aces High, assign each axis you're going to use on your controllers
9.  In the Map Controllers interface, click on "Calibrate Axis" and calibrate each axis that's been assigned a function
10. On the clipboard, click on "Calibrate Controllers" and follow the instructions to calibrate your controllers
11. Play and enjoy.

The above method will ensure that your CH Controllers are properly installed and configured in both Windows and Aces High.

4.  Re-install Control Manager (follow on screen instructions)

The on screen instructions tell you to plug in your CH controllers, didn't feel a need to include them in my instructions.

As the kiddies say, "pwned!"
