Last month was my 5 year anniversary in Aces High and hopefully some of the new guys from FA can take some heart from what can be achieved if you put your mind to it.

Spatula's program is really useful if your into looking at this stuff.  I know FA's leaderboard kept a running tally of kills and I would be really interested in seeing who has done the most kills ever.  I'd put my money SHawk.

Tour 70 - my "two weeks": K/D 1.15, K/S 0.62, K/H 4.18, hit% 6.52
Tour 124 - more than 40,000 kills later: K/D 10.52, K/S 2.81, K/H 7.70, hit% 14.84

But my "pinnacle" in terms of scoring stats was a long time ago, I'm not flying that focused anymore and lack of concentration or attention get's me killed more frequently these days.

For the first few months I flew AH, I kept a journal of sorts.  I do this for a lot of hobbies, as they're pretty fun to read years later.  A few excerpts:

April 9, 2004

My accuracy has improved somewhat, although I’m still in the “spray and pray” mode.  The most kills I can acquire are two in a mission.  After that, I’m simply out of ammo. 

...

Although I am wasting many bullets on high deflection shots, I am getting better at hitting things that are coming right at me. 

April 10, 2004

On thing I’ve learned from AH is that if you’re going up against a mass of aircraft, you’d better be sure to stay near your own group of buddies.  Once you get separated, or even if you are on the outskirts of the group, you’re in big, big trouble.  I learned that one the hard way last night.

I like to think I fly differently now.

52 was my first tour also
before that I played Fighter Ace for about a month, never flew any flight game before that.
