cant quit game from arena board

once i exit arena mouse seems to freeze or disopear behind arena selection window. ive been using ctrl alt delete to exit from there?

Ok, need some more information.

A DXDIAG output.

Also, any extraneous software running on the computer that is different from the default Windows installation.

Also, could you try installing this utility.  Install it anywhere.  It is a stand-alone utility.  Run it and press <F2> and switch to "full screen" mode, then press <F2> to return back to the window.  Let me know if that works ok.

And how did you discover it?

That means another application is taking control away from the game when we switch to windowed mode.  I need to find out what application is causing this.

A number of players are having the same problem and we cannot reproduce it at all.
