bomb damage radius
« on: June 07, 2010, 07:54:02 PM »
Im kinda curious as to what the bomb blast radius is for 1000lb, 500lb etc to expect killing lets say a wirby  ( was just bombed in one)  I watched the video after and was able to view the point of impact of the bomb.  It was dropped from an F6F so couldnt be larger then a 1000lb bomb and only one was dropped.  It landed at least 5 vehicle lengths away from me and i died.  Is this really the expected kill zone?  I know ive dropped well within that range and wirbys, panzers, osti's and not even tracked them.  Im not crying about it so please dont treat it as that I would really like an answer because that just didnt seem right.

It landed at least 5 vehicle lengths away from me and i died.

You can't judge that from your film. You would need to have the attackers film to see where the bomb really landed.

I sent my film in and asked the same question so maybe they can look at it or will they need his film also?

It's bigger than small and smaller than big. It really is not that big or small at all.
