I guess I'm going to have to start using some indicator for when I use sarcasm.

My god. These pixelated sprites we have in this "sim" really help you to forget the raw destructive power these planes could unleash.

I recently saw a vid of 30mil, WOW that was a huge hit sprite :O

I do not believe your point is to recognize all suffering, but to belittle whatever post you can in an attempt at a troll.

Many have died in the wars on this planet up to and including many "innocents".  That your original post attempted to belittle the sacrifice that those who volunteered to reign in tyranny while using "the innocents" as a defense point was truly classless and without any type of merit short of an attempt at a troll.

You should truly be ashamed of your actions.

Hmm, still on that trolling thing...

I never said that them dying was any worse than a soldier dying.  I suppose that you'll just continue on with your rant.  You're presupposing a whole bunch of things about what I'm saying that just aren't true.  If I'm being classless in your eyes, then I can't do anything about it.  But I did watch the video, and it was heartrending.  I was adding on to it, but now you're trolling to make me look like a hippie.

What would be classy?  And who made you in charge, anyway?

Funny, I never see a thread about all of the poor, helpless german/italin/japanese babies obliderated by their bombs.

-Penguin

Because those "poor, helpless german/italin (sic)/japanese babies obliderated" by our bombs aren't alive to post threads on the subject.

Sorry but cold would be saying something like they deserved it.  Ack's comment might be considered hard to some.

Question for you Penguin:  What would YOU have done?  Seriously.  If you were president in 1941, after the attack at Pearl Harbor what would your approach have been?  What if you were prime minister in England in 1939, or earlier?  Would you have ceded the land to the Nazis and achieved peace like Chamberlain?

Its easy to sit back and monday morning quarterback history, but the lessons to be learned from all wars in the past are:

1. War can not always be avoided, no matter how much diplomacy you use.

2. When war comes, fight to win.  Make war so costly to your enemy that his only option is to capitulate.

Why are burning Lancs cool?
It is better to be violent, if there is violence in our hearts, than to put on the cloak of nonviolence to cover impotence.

Who's your enemy?  Germany?  Japan?  Or the people there?  You see, a flag can be rallied against, but could you really look those other people in the eye and say "I want to see you die, you and all your friends and family" could you say that to an eight year old?  Could you say that to a pregnant girl?  Could you say that to a beggar?  Could you say that to anyone other than the leaders of the country?

Bottom line: if a person from the "enemy" country sent you an email and neither of you knew who the other was- would you automatically hate them?

On bombing though, I agree, bombing factories is dirty work but has to be done, but just carpet-bombing a city is against the Geneva convention.

So what in the hell do you want?

A disclaimer in every post acknowledging that our country did brutal things in WW2 and we are all ashamed?
