Author Topic: having problems with custom sounds (Read 503 times)

I downloaded a set of sounds (fscotts I believe) for the p51 I created a sub directory in the AH "sounds" folder named it p51 etc. When I get into the game I hit the runway turn the engine on and crash. The new sounds are being used but the game crashes to desktop at the same moment in the engine start up routine. Any thoughts as to what could be causing it? thanks.

I think the folder name should be P51D, but I don't think that'd cause it to crash?

I know this sounds funny, but try redownloading the sound. One person a while back had this problem because he said the sound file wasn't complete. Remove the folder and try making it again.

I'd also restart the computer before playing.
