Hitech has got the black out right.
« on: June 16, 2010, 07:43:15 PM »
Went to Kings Dominion on Tuesday with hymijr's band class and got to ride some rollercoasters. There was one that was called the Intimidator, after a 305 ft drop, you go into a hard right turn at 90+ miles per hour, at this point is where i experienced a g-induced black out, it lasted about 10 seconds until i woke up and got my bearings. Hymijr also experienced some tunnel vision during the ride. Overall it was a pretty interesting senstation to black out and then realize what had happened. Here is hyperlink of a animation of the ride.

i believe it was around 5 g's on the first drop and turn, the ride also had a lot of positive g's in it also.

You must be in Virginia.  I went to K.D in the 1980s, what fun that was.

This is much like the one about 20 minutes from me in an old run down town.  The KD version is ours on crack really but very similar.

Honestly for both of these, if you can...get in the front.  That climb , looking over the sides is pretty crazy...but wait till you peak at the top and look over the horizon.  Out of this world
