Better ditching and object collision modelling

It was better the way it were. Of course it wasn't realistic to survive 400 mph ditches, but now it's impossible to survive above a certain speed which is also unrealistic. Also there shouldn't be an instant death when hitting a tree or any other object.

I have to wonder when was the last plane crash you survived at 150mph or faster. Ever hit a tree at 60mph? Imagine hitting that tree at 200mph. It's more realistic than you think.

I have seen now planes crash at 200 and above in low furballing and get a ditch.  This is after having no wings or tail.

I don't think so, you still get killed instantly if you touch any part of your plane to any stationary object provided you're going 150 miles an hour or faster.
