ENG Vs ALG
« on: June 18, 2010, 02:01:43 PM »
I think we've found the first corrupt official.

Intentional pass-back, not given
Heskey takes an elbow to the head, not given
Heskey chopped down outside the area, free-kick given for a shirt pull by Rooney.

Watching over the net with Mexican commentary, I love how they use full names for all the players "John George Terry" etc. but James is referred to as David Benjamin Calamity James!

That doesn't excuse the fact that we are p!ss poor.

No movement off the ball as usual. How much do these people earn a week?

I revise my prediction. We won't get past the last 16 at this rate.

I never expect much from England.  International football is a different animal to the hustle bustle of the premiership.

However i'll let them have another 45 minutes more before calling them a bunch of overpaid wasters  ;)

Totally, England are far too interested in grabbing a goal. They need to put their foot on the ball and start to control the tempo more and offer better movement off the ball.

there has been a couple occasions in the final 3rd where they have opted for the wrong pass or shot.

As you say a bit better movement to make it obvious for the player on the ball and they will get a move right and score.

Algeria hasn't figured out that they have better movement up the middle and they keep getting denied on the left flank.  Rooney and Gerrard have finally woken up from their slumber.

they looked to be scared of making a mistake instead of taking control.
